Podcast will return

edit Tom Paine, Brian of London and others 2008-09-16 18:57 UTC 8 comments  ·

I'm sorry to report that this week's show has been cancelled because of Islam. Do not fear, it will return as soon as Islam ceases. Or when hell has frozen over. Or something.

We're not gone, its just real life intruding.

Thank you.

And keep up the good work in the comments. Especially the Nazis posting on the really old shows. We love reading your trash.

Shire Network News special airs on XM Radio's Potus 08

If you've heard our show for the first time via XM Radio and PJM Political, welcome. You can find our latest show here. Let us know what you think in the comments or by sending us an email.

We've taken a few pieces of this week's show, added in a bit of last week's, wrapped it up with a bit of Brian of London glue and produced a highlight show to run on Pajamas Media's PJM Political show. This will be broadcast at 6pm Eastern Time on Channel 130 on XM Satelite Radio.

You can get a temporary two week subscription to XM Radio or can pick up the show from the Pajamas Media site here. It's not going to appear in our feed as it would be repetitious for our loyal listeners.

Do feel free to send feedback to both PJM and XM Radio if you hear us and like the show.

Been a long lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely time.

I know, we've not put out a show in a long time.... but we have one coming. And Brian of London is back.

Watch out for it, bursting forth from iTunes or our web site, just in time for you to duck out from the family and spend a little time lost in our world.

Podcast is on the edge... but nominated for an award again!

This is a quick note from Brian of London. We are working to resolve the "artistic differences" that changed the tone of the last podcast from Tom but I thought I'd take a moment to alert our audience to the fact that once again Shire Network News is a finalist in the 2007 Weblog Awards. It's a vote once per day system and there is some stiff competition in this category. If we win I promise we'll keep the show going (and I haven't even asked Tom).

I'll also say thank you for all the comments of support (for whatever position) and especially in praise of the show. They are appreciated.

New Show in production... meanwhile in London, buses are trying to tell me something

edit Tom Paine, Brian of London and others 2007-10-01 07:09 UTC 19 comments  ·  ·

Welcome new visitors, my bus pictures are proving popular but we're really a podcast. Take a listen to one of our recent shows, subscribe via iTunes and come back soon!

There is a great new show in production right now featuring Richard Landes, but in the meantime here is something that will explain to you why the West is loosing. Somebody has some big bucks to spend on propaganda and you can guess who it is.

This is one of the very buses blown up by a devout Muslim 2 years ago. Maybe they should be spending their money convincing devout Muslims it's a Religion of Peace™ rather than me.

Our podcast hosting site seems to be having a temporary glitch leading to someone else's account being mixed with ours. This is being investigated. If you're here looking for Shire Network News, please ignore any posts with the by-line "Fandick". We hope these will disappear momentarily.

Thank you for the birthday wishes! We will be back in one week's time.

I'd like to say thank you all for the many 100'th anniversary comments and emails we've had.

There is a public holiday here in the UK tomorrow so we won't be putting a show together. We will have one for you next week.

In the meantime enjoy the following quote from the free book given to all new parents in the UK by the National Health System (NHS):

Using your own food is cheaper than bought foods; you will know what the ingredients are (e.g. halal meat) and your baby will get used to eating like the rest of the family.

On the plus side, however, I can report that the the book goes on to recommend feeding pork a page later:

Remember, red meat (pork, beef and lamb) is an excellent source of iron.

Welcome to the UK.

Shire Network News number 100 - our century so to speak is in production

edit Tom Paine, Brian of London and others 2007-08-20 15:16 UTC 3 comments  ·

I just wanted to let all our dear listeners know that show number 100 is in production. We had a little pause while Skype decided to stop working for 36 hours but we've done our special bit of recording for the show and I'll be putting it all together in the next day or so.

TalkShoe's website doesn't work - Live Show CANCELLED

edit Tom Paine, Brian of London and others 2007-08-04 12:27 UTC 3 comments  ·

TalkShoe's website is not working for me and so I'm calling this experiment a failure. If I can't get in to host the show.... no show!

Sorry all and I'm really sorry if you got out of bed for this. Please send an angry note to TalkShoe as I will be doing soon.

Reposting of episode 98 to test various audio things

edit Tom Paine, Brian of London and others 2007-08-04 09:05 UTC 4 comments  ·

I've had some uncertainty as to what audio format and specifically bit rate and sample rate to export to. I'm uploading a copy of the most recent episode at what I hope is 48kbs and 22Khz to see if this works with the player on the site, my iPod and then with other people's players.

Let me know in the comments if this works for you and if you prefer the smaller file.

It's real.... the new show is being written and produced. If it doesn't go up today then it will be tomorrow. Sorry, dear listeners, for the delay.... the drought is nearly over!

This week's show postponed

Shire Network News has not pod-faded. We will be back with the second part of our Deborah Lipstadt interview: just not this week.

It's going to come, but watch Farfour the Mickey Mouse creation of Hamas being beaten to death by an Israeli while you wait

A new show is in production but in the meantime, take a look at this from Palestinian Media Watch or head back and listen to the head of PMW, Itamar Marcus, talking about the original video here.

I know, it's late but it will come

Once again the schedule has slipped, but I will be putting the show out as soon as possible.

Rest assured, the show will go on

We've had a few issues with the interview this week but rest assured, the show will go on. I shall probably finish it tomorrow and post it then.

Welcome HotAir viewers

Welcome to any and all who've landed here from HotAir.com. Meryl Yourish, one of our regular contributors here at Shire Network News, contributed the script for today's video on HotAir. Take a look around and listen to a few of our episodes and even, perhaps, hit the iTunes link and subscribe to get new shows delivered to your iPod.

If you’re new to SNN, let me explain a bit about us. We’re a centre*  right political podcast which sees the Western world, led by the Anglosphere, as being engaged in what is essentially World War IV against Islamofacism / Wahhabiism / Islamic extremism / Islam, call it what you will. We’ll always try to call things as we see them, but with a dash of humour thrown in. If this really is the apocalyptic collapse of civilisation that our enemies say it is, then we might as well have a bit of laugh while we can.

Each week we have commentaries on current events from some some of our stable of contributors from around the world, the UK, the United States, Australia, Canada and Israel. We also feature a (mostly serious) interview where we let the guests actually talk. We've talked recently to Itamar Marcus and past guests have included Robert Spencer and Mark Steyn.

And yes, Meryl does come up with funny stuff like today's video quite often.

This week on Shire Network News we will talk to Itamar Marcus of Palestinian Media Watch: he of the unveiling of Farfour the Genocidal Mouse. Be sure to check in and listen when that comes out over the weekend.
