Within 48 hours, a special Gaza episode of SNN will be available here.
It will feature commentary from some of our contributors and a special feature interview with Professor Barry Rubin, directorof the GLORIA (Global Research in International Affairs) Center in Herziliya, Israel.
As is often the case when major non-funny events occur, jokes may be a trifle thin on the ground, so Blog News may notbe quite as joky as normal.
In other developments, just as we've decided to raise funds for a major revamp of the podcast, including amarketingcampaign, e-mail list, guest appearances on other people's podcasts and radio shows and a custom-designed website; thecompanywhich hosts the podcast, Blogmatrix, has announced it is closing down at the end of the month!
It's a real shame, because Blogmatrix have hosted SNN since it's inception more than three years ago, and they'vealways provided exemplary service. I'd like to thank David Jane, the CEO, for his assistance and advice over the years.
But this of course means SNN will have to look for another home, and quickly too.
Rest assured that we WILL be back by the end of January...er...somewhere. If the worst happens and Blogmatrix shutsdown before we have acquired a new home, we will announce our new site on Michell Malkin's Hot Air site. And Little GreenFootballsand Instapundit and Isreallycool and...well, anyone and everyone we can e-mail about it.
The money we're asking for is to help us improve the way SNN is presented on the web, make it easier to find us and tolistento the show, for you the listeners to interact with those of us who put the show together, and to get the word out to amuchwider audience about us.
So do consider making a contrubution if you have enjoyed SNN, every bit helps. We're going to try very hard to make 2009theyear this podcast started making a bigger impact.
Then you can tell everyone you were a fan before the SNN people made it big, got arrogant, forgot their originalsupporters, started hanging out with a much more Hollywood crowd and began wearing sunglasses in the middle of the night.
If in two decade's time I'm found dead on a solid gold toilet seat on my private yacht, my head buried in a pile of coke on a hooker's lap, my white-jumpsuited body bloated from too many fast-food binges and three ex-wives demanding I sell six of my seven mansions to pay child support for my ever expanding brood of bastard kids and an E! Channel Special about my life entitled "Tom Paine" - When the Satire Died: Former SNN stars Tell All" then as far as I'm concerned it will have all been worth it.
Even the bit where Meryl looks at the camera and says "He sold us all out! It used to be about the politics man, but then came the drugs and the money and the holidays in Tahiti with Scarlett Johansen and Ann Hathaway. We couldn't handle it so we split. Never saw any money either. Bastard!"
Yeah, that would be sweeet....
Well shit, THAT didn't work, did it? Anyone know how to get a ChipIn widget to display properly? See why we need someprofessional help?
Until we get that problem sorted out, you can either You can still make a donation using the button helpfully labled "Make a donation" over on the right hand side, or go here.
