Podcast Looks Back at 2009

Yes your iTunes feed is not deceiving you! Shire Network News is back for one more show before Christmas. We've pulled out all the stops to bring you a whole new show with contributions from Shire Network News regulars, Meryl Yourish and Doug Payton. Both are looking back on what a fine year 2009 (yes Two Thousand and NINE) has been

In addition, Tom has been hard at work in the cutting room pulling together some of his favorite blog news items from over three years of material. I'm sure you'll agree that good satire never goes stale. Except for the story about the French rejecting the European Union. That story is so old we've had at least four more attempts by European  faceless minions to foist the sorry constitution on their various peoples since that rejection.

Tom is serious in the show, we are looking at putting on a major marketing effort in the new year and any donations you make (see the button to the right) will go toward expanding the show's audience. And not pay for Brian to be able to listen to live coverage of the numerous defeats of the England cricket team.

As ever, enjoy the show and see you all next year!

You guys are awesome!  Thanks for this treat (which I've not listened to yet).  Perfect to take with us on a long drive coming up.

Hmm.  Time travel.  Isn't that the domain of Tim Blair's commenters, Dr. Who dweebs and such?

Well done and thank you.  I had resigned myself to having to wait for another podcast until this dismal year had, at long last, surrendered its grip on our throats.  Here's to your success in '09, confusion to our enemies and health and prosperity to all those who cherish Liberty.

Merry...er...Happy Hanukkah, have a nice day on Dec. 25th and all the best in the New Year.

"God bless us everyone."

Good on ya boys. Bless your hearts for thinking of us! You deserve your Christmas chook (I, for one, will be praying for you all over the break). Time to enjoy one more podcast before the UN makes it illegal, you guys are legends.

What a Christmas treat! I also thought I would have to wait for many weeks to hear from you again...

Blessings on the entire crew of SNN. May peace and happiness be your watchwords for the new year.  A great last pod for 08'!

Best wishes from the home of George Washington's NYC Spy Network

Star Trek for me, Doug Payton.  Fair amount of time travel, but not like the Tardis stuff.

P.S.  I was prescient in that Mark Steyn is subbing for Limbaugh Jan. 2.

Great show team!

I am so glad you did one last show for 2008.....you are back and we, the audience, are mighty pleased!

I have made a (first) small donation towards the $1200 required for Tom Paine's marketing effort and I heartily recommend that all loyal listeners make a similar donation to the fight for freedom, democracy and sanity.

Look forward to SNN09 pushing the boundaries and challenging our extremist enemies in the 'Religion of Peace', and other general nutcases, autocrats and dictators.

Best regards to all the SNN team. Happy Christmas (yes, we can stil say it) and Hannukah.

Well, I, too, am a Trekkie from way back, but as there's no Trek series running, I got my kids into Doctor Who and they've never looked back.  :)
