This week we conclude our chat with Evan Sayet, comedian, writer, dweller of Holywood and REPUBLICAN who has risen to prominence across the blogosphere after his talk to the Heritage Foundation, called "How Modern Liberals Think" became a You Tube sensation.

News is back, a bit. The craziness of the Guardian (is that Grauniad?) can be found here.

More on Zimbabwe from AfricaAsia.com.

Our new contributors is Doug Payton. Doug's work can be found here.

Meryl Yourish has found out how Democrats used to talk about wars. It's not like today.

Shire Network News is, of course absolutely free. Unfortunately, explaining that to the local phone company, the electronics store and all the others is not so easy. This is where you, the grateful listener can play a vital role, by hitting the tip jar button which you can find on the right of your screen

You can subscribe to SNN on Apple iTunes using the iTunes 1-click button at the top of this post, or download it directly from the Blogmatrix site.

If you don't have iTunes, I can recommend Podcastready.com a link to which is also in the sidebar to the right.

Brian, OK - I love you guys (not in that way). As much as I am a child of the eightes, relatively fond of "Axel-F", I didn't realize that the new "Lilliburlero-F" version of the opening theme was deemed an improvement. It's as cacophonous as Nancy Pelosi bellowing the Black Eyed Peas' "My Humps". Shire Network News represents the brave broacasters of the greatest generation who fought against evil with the mighty spoken word and made us proud to be part of the wild wild west. And how is it's opening theme represented? The Royal Philharmonic at Albert Hall? John Williams and the Boston Pops? No. We get Ross Geller and his Cassio Keyboard. Looking good Mr. Kaarrrteer.... Either bring the old version back, or get a 30 piece orchestra to play it with verve. Oh yeah, what is that secret Hollywood code word anyway. I work in Hollywood on occasion, and would like to know how to communicate with like minded individuals. Cheers, Neo Con Snake

I agree with Snake 100%.  Also, Evan Sayet mentioned the talk show host Dennis Prager.  You can listen to Dennis live 12pm to 3pm - east coast US time- at www.krla870.com and you can sign up free at www.townhall.com and download his show with itunes.

Ok Ok.... now here's the story and I specifically didn't mention the new music to see what would happen.

Up to now first Tom and then I have been using music that we have no rights to. If we stay small and unknown that's just fine. Nobody will come after us. But, if, one day, we get some sort of success then any lefty (for example) that takes offense could hit us with a cease and desist so fast it would make our eyes water.

If someone out there can come up with better versions of our music than I could with relatively little money (I did pay someone for that music but not much so that's why it lacks, errrr, polish shall we say) then step forward. Please. If nobody is musically competant then send me loads of money and the tunes will be re-recorded better.

Or just find me legit royalty free versions.

There you go. Otherwise I'll have to whistle and hum and you don't want that.

Brian

Meryl's piece this week was fantastic!  Definitely one of the best she has done, and an excellent addition to Shire Network News.

I was disappointed in the music too, but I can see Brian of London's point.  Disappointed, but I see the point.

I love your podcasts. I don't have much else to say but thank you!

As for the music, I am not even sure what you are talking about... Color me musically challenged.

People, check out comment #2.  I wanted to plug Prager but csva beat me to it.  Awsome show.

I loved how Sayet kept on plugging Dennis Prager.  It's interesting, because Prager was a liberal as well.  He still thinks of himself as a liberal.  He never changed his views though.  The two parties have. Now that's a guy who should be interviewed on SNN.  I love this guy.  It's funny how neither Medved nor Prager define themselves as neocons despite the fact that their background is classic neocon background.  Jewish pro-Israel liberals who switched sides.

I found Prager by accident when I was browsing i-tunes once.  It was during the war when I found him, Medved and Hewitt.  I think that because SNN is an international website, someone should put the names of known American talk show hosts who might interest the rest of us.  I mean, because there are people from different countries here, we don't always know which names to look.  I never knew to look for Hewitt or Prager even after they released podcasts, because I never heard of them. I only had to type their names in order to find if they have podcasts or not, but you can't know what to type if you never heard of these people.  I only found them because they were linked in the Hannity i-tunes page.

Incidently, I heard of Medved through my search for info on Michael Moore.  In fact, I only heard of PODCASTING because of my Michael Moore obsession, when one of the moorewatch.com people started a podcast.
